Norwood Tool Hire was established in 2012 by Fabian Mentoor, an Entrepreneur with 18 years experience in the hire industry.

In 1996 Fabian Mentoor began working as a 4 stroke mechanic, He quickly rose in the ranks, moving from mechanic to driver to counter sales to assistant branch manager and eventually on to assistant sales manager.

Fabian gained a wealth of experience through his journey and used it to start his own business. He wanted to pave his own path and to that end, he started the First Black owned tool Hire Company in Cape Town, Norwood Tool Hire.

Norwood Tool Hire was started with just an Angle Grinder and a few pieces of Scaffolding but it has grown from strength to strength and now offers clients a wide variety of Building Equipment and Power tools.

Norwood Tool Hire is not just a tool hiring company, through their unique enrichment program, they assist people from disadvantaged communities becoming entrepreneurs, creating employment opportunities for people across Cape Town.
